Rumpus Media has been commissioned by Comedy Central UK to produce a second series of topical TV round-up show, Channel Hopping with Jon Richardson, and comedy series, Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains, it was announced today (THURS).

Channel Hopping with Jon Richardson (6x60) returns with the British comic presenting a weekly digest of the world's wildest TV. Each week he will be joined by a special celebrity guest as well as resident TV fanatic, Judi Love.

From X-rated talent shows, to outrageous gameshows, terrible soap opera acting and bizarre reality shows, Jon will give his take on television from around the world.

Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains (12x60) invites three celebrity guests to re-visit their teenage years, and share stories of awful first kisses, fashion disasters and jaw-dropping juvenile japes. And, as Rhod’s youth was  - like most of us – bursting with embarrassment, he is perfectly qualified to decide which one of his guests will be crowned ‘Most Embarrassing Teenager’ at the end of each show.

Sebastian Cardwell, Deputy Director of Programmes, ViacomCBS UK said: “I am delighted to be working with Rumpus again and bringing back these shows to Comedy Central. The first series of both shows were a big hit with our audience, and I can’t wait for Rhod to uncover even more embarrassing celebrity teen stories, and for Jon to reveal some of the world’s most outrageous and hilarious programmes on TV.”

Iain Wimbush, Rumpus Media Joint Managing Director and Executive Producer said: “I can’t wait to re-visit the youth of some of our much-loved celebrity guests, and hear Rhod’s inimitable take on their questionable choices. This is a pure tonic, full of nostalgia and feel good moments.”

He added: “There is no one better equipped to tell the world of television – ‘what on earth were you thinking ?’– than Jon Richardson. And it’s such a joy to hear him say just that about shows ranging from ‘sperm race’ to ‘sexy car wash.”

Series 2 of Channel Hopping with Jon Richardson and Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains were commissioned by Cardwell and Dan Louw, VP Commissioning Editor, ViacomCBS Networks UK and executive produced by Iain Wimbush, Rumpus Media.

Channel Hopping with Jon Richardson and Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains are both set to air later this year on Comedy Central UK.
