Ruth Langsford presents ITV1’s flagship daytime show This Morning every Friday with her husband Eamonn Holmes, as well as being a regular host on ITV’s daily chat show, Loose Women.

She has covered for Lorraine Kelly on GMTV and often guests on panel and comedy shows, including most recently Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. She was even caught by Eamonn in bed with Rob Brydon on Annually Retentive!

Ruth is also a writer and she and Eamonn are weekly columnists for Best magazine.

Her passion for cooking has seen her appear on a number of cooking shows and she was also the host of Carlton Television’s Food Network Daily and Westcountry TV’s cookery competitions series Taste of the West.

A keen gardener, Ruth presented The Great British Garden Show on BBC2, ITV’s gardening quiz show The Answer Lies in the Soil and Gardens of the Millennium for The History Channel.

Ruth also holds a passion for fashion; she was the face of the re-launch of Playtex in 2011.

Her career started at ITV in the Westcountry 25 years ago where she fronted the evening news programme and presented her own chat show. From there, she moved into national television and has fronted shows for BBC1, BBC2, ITV and several digital channels.

Born in Singapore, the child of an army family, Ruth lived in five countries before the age of 10, ranging from Germany to North Africa.

Ruth is an Ambassador for the Alzheimer’s Society.

She and Eamonn live in Surrey with their son Jack.
