**NEW** Hidden Britain By Drone: Heatwave Special

One of the hottest summers on record is creating an adrenalin rush among Britain's aerial archaeologists. As their drones take to the skies, they are uncovering significant new finds emerging from the parched landscape. All over the country, hundreds of unknown historic sites have been revealed from the air. And it's not just the professionals that are striking gold - an army of drone-flying amateurs have made some incredible discoveries. In this Heatwave special edition of Hidden Britain by Drone, history and archaeology enthusiast Sir Tony Robinson investigates how this summer's long dry spell created the perfect conditions for the mysterious 'parch marks' that led to these remarkable discoveries. He meets the archaeologists and drone pilots that have been flying all over the country to record this transient phenomenon. Once it rains, the marks disappear, but the hidden secrets have been revealed - now it's a question of what happens next to these hidden historic gems.

Hitler had a dream to amass the world’s greatest art collection; it was a dream that became Europe’s nightmare. This episode also features an incredible discovery: a work of art that once hung on the wall of Hitler’s dining room and missing for over 70 years.

Hitler had a dream to amass the world’s greatest art collection; it was a dream that became Europe’s nightmare. In this episode, the team investigates how Hitler oversaw the theft of thousands of art treasures from across Europe.

In Austria, Conor Woodman explores the incredible underground salt mine where Allied soldiers recovered the majority of Hitler’s stolen art in 1945: a hoard worth $6 billion today.  But the allies didn’t find everything, and Conor meets with local treasure hunters and investigative journalists who are convinced some of the art was smuggled out and is being hidden in nearby homes and mountain hideouts today.

In Germany, James Holland gets to the bottom of the Gurlitt case. In 2012, the discovery of more than 1400 missing works of art in Munich made world headlines. The artworks were traced back to Hildebrand Gurlitt, an art dealer with ties to Hitler. Five years after the story first broke, James digs up surprising new revelations about how Gurlitt not only stole for Hitler, but also from Hitler.

In America, Robert Edsel tracks down an incredible 15th Century tapestry that once hung on the wall of Hitler’s dining room. The team must figure out how the tapestry ended up in the United States, from whom Hitler stole it in the first place, and return it to the rightful owner.

Celebrity MasterChef

Episode 7

Celebrity MasterChef returns for its thirteenth series, with 20 famous faces, all hoping to follow in the footsteps of last year’s champion Angellica Bell and take the 2018 title.

The hunt for a champion continues as we welcome the final five celebrities to the challenge in the last of the heats. Trying to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace are actor Lisa Maxwell, professional dancer AJ Pritchard, furniture restorer Jay Blades, international recording artist Stella Parton and DJ and broadcaster Clara Amfo.

The first challenge for the five hopefuls is the Mystery Box; the infamous test of imagination and creativity. The contestants must use the ingredients in tonight’s box, which include pork loin, trout, cauliflower, raspberries and white chocolate to create just one dish. With nerves running high and just fifty minutes to create something from scratch, the celebrities must think on their feet to impress the judges.

The celebrities are then split into two groups to take on the challenge of cooking for the first time in a restaurant kitchen, preparing dishes for paying customers.

Lisa, Clara and Stella head to The Swan at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre which showcases modern British cuisine while AJ and Jay are sent to Sophie’s Soho, a steakhouse with an open kitchen and a feature fire pit.

In the final test of culinary creativity, it’s back to the MasterChef kitchen, as the contestants are asked to prepare a two-course menu of their own design in just one hour. The celebrities work furiously in a last attempt to prove themselves to the judges, because at the end of this test one of them will be going home.

Episode 8

Celebrity MasterChef returns for its thirteenth series, with 20 famous faces all hoping to take the 2018 title.

This week’s heat continues with the four remaining celebrities facing three more culinary challenges, as they battle for a place in the Semi-Finals.

Tonight’s first challenge is the new Pairs Challenge where the four celebrities are split into two teams of two. Each team is tasked with cooking the same dish. Both plates must be identical in both appearance and flavour, but there is a catch. In-between each pair there is a wall. The only way for the celebrities to successfully produce identical plates is by communicating with their team mate through the wall.

The celebrities are then sent out on their first mass catering challenge. Remaining in their teams they will have to make lunch for over 100 members of staff and students at The Royal Veterinary College in Hertfordshire.

With an array of ingredients including diced lamb, hake fillets and salmon, as well as a range of fruit and vegetables, the two teams must devise, prepare and serve the lunch, catering for various tastes, creating meat based, vegetarian and dessert dishes in volume. In the heat of the kitchen the celebrities will have to rely on teamwork skills as well as their culinary ones to triumph.

Then it’s back to the MasterChef kitchen as the battle for a semi-final place reaches its climax. The four celebrities must now cook a faultless two course meal that will not only be judged by John and Gregg, but also Celebrity MasterChef champion Alexis Conran (2016) semi-finalist Reverand Richard Coles (2016) and Finalist Andi Peters (2008), all former survivors of this tough challenge.

With their last chances to impress for a semi-final place, emotions in the kitchen are running high, and the pressure proves too much for some contestants. The celebrity judges deliver some frank and cutting responses to some of the dishes, but others fare much better.

This is the last chance for the contestants to earn themselves a semi-final place and come one step closer to winning the title of Celebrity MasterChef 2018. For those who don’t make the grade, the journey ends here.
